Non-Chargeable Services

The following services are customarily not charged to the requesting department, with the exception of some Auxilary services, and are considered routine maintenance. Routine maintenance is considered to be the up keep of facicilities due to normal wear and tear. Work needed due to misuse or mishandling is not considered routine maintenance and will be chargeable. All work orders are processed and reviewed individually. To request routine maintenance, please submit a work order request via the customer portal. Examples of routine maintenance are listed below.

  • Maintenance to grounds, sidewalks, and roadways. Auxiliary Services is responsible for parking lot maintenance
  • Repair to roof, structural, window, door, and general building repair
  • Fence repair
  • Indoor and outdoor lighting repair/replacement with the exception of specialty lighting
  • Repair to existing heating, cooling, humidification, and plumbing systems
  • Repair to Energy Management Systems
  • Repair to electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Maintenance or replacement of equipment originally installed as part of a building with the exception of department owned equipment.
  • Participation in the recycling program
  • Rodent and pest control
  • Elevator maintenance
  • Scheduled inspections of elevators & emergency lighting
